Not taking into account certain skin cancers,
in 2005, more than 570,000 Americans, or more
than 1,500 people a day, will die of cancer.
The bad news is the rate is increasing by about
1% a year. Finally, one in three of us will
be diagnosed with cancer during our life.
Just the mention of cancer sends a chill down
your spine. And when it comes to talking about
cancer treatment (complete cure), one is just
left looking around for answers. Yes, it’s
a well known fact that there is no fail-proof
or definitive cancer treatment for most types
of cancer. Unavailability of cancer treatment
is what makes cancer so dreaded. Well, it’s
not just the unavailability of cancer treatment
that makes the things so grim but also the
difficulty in detection of cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer
in men. The good news is that prostate cancer
is very curable. As with any cancer, the outcome
is always better if it is caught early. Prostate
cancer is associated with aging and men are
deemed more susceptible the older they are.
Catching prostate cancer early is the best
way for a man to increase their chances of
survival and that involves knowing the symptoms
and seeing a doctor regularly.
There was a time when the main victim of breast
cancer was white, well off women. The disease
was though to afflict only women in developed
societies. Breast cancer may have had a limited
range in the past, but today breast cancer
is changing. In Asia, Africa, and the Middle
East, breast cancer rates are rising at enormous
levels.
Cancer is undoubtedly one of the most fatal
diseases of the modern era. It is very important
to understand that for most types of cancer
there is no cure. On the other hand if cancer
is detected early then the chances of survivial
and full recovery are higher.
